Children’s Holiday Gift Guide
Santa is Coming
Gift giving. Possibly one of my favorite things. When I give gifts, I put a lot of thought and effort behind them. It’s so special to me when I can give a gift with special meaning. I want you to know that I care. That I thought about you. That I love and appreciate you. I want a gift to mean more than a show of money and obligation.
The True Meaning of Christmas
I want my children to be thankful and show gratitude for what they receive. I want them to know the true art behind gift giving – to show our love for one another. Christmas isn’t about receiving outlandish amounts of extravagant gifts. Beyond the traditional Christmas festivities, Santa Clause, and Rudolph, the true meaning behind Christmas is so much bigger. We celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. I want this to be the main focus of our holiday season.
So, what do you give?
When it comes to kids, it’s hard. Plastic, cheaply made toys that are shoved in a corner and never get touched. Battery operated gadgets that never seem to have working batteries. With an abundance of toys already overwhelming the playroom, what do you give? With the holiday’s just around the corner, I’m sharing some of my favorite items that are perfect to give as gifts for you little ones. Toys that go beyond the shiny new items lining your local Walmart isles and catalogs. Items with a little more meaning, that will last a little longer, and grow with them.

- Personalized Wooden Toy Camera – It might be the photographer in me, but I absolutely love this little toy. And if you can personalize it, I love it that much more! Jackson loves to tag along to my photoshoots, and this is such a great toy for imagination so your little one can “take” their own photos.
- Rock Blocks – These adorable blocks are handcrafted from locally milled wood and naturally dyed from sources like blackberries and purple cabbage. They’re so unique and every single block is slightly different.
- Baby Animal Lacing Cards – If it’s fun and educational, it wins in my book. This item is great for hand-eye coordination, motor skills, and dexterity. And they feature hand painted illustrations. So adorable!
- Wooden Name Puzzle – I can’t even say enough about this name puzzle! Classic and timeless. Made in the USA. This has been a huge hit in our house! And when Jackson outgrows it, we’ll tuck it away in his memory box. I can’t wait to get them for my twins to display in their nursery!
- Wooden Rainbow Tunnel – I fully encourage open-ended toys. They last so much longer then cheaply made, plastic toys that only serve one purpose. Build tunnels for cars, stack together, color sort. The options are endless for growing imaginations!
- World Map Mat – Perfect for play and learning, these mats are useful for so many things! Made from high quality bonded leather, it can be used as a play mat in the toy room or taken on all of your outdoor adventure.
