I’m so excited to finally share our family holiday pictures with you! As a not only a mom, but a photographer, it’s so easy to hide behind the camera. I’ve made an intentional effort to make sure that I always switch places. I want my children to have these images to look back on for years to come. But I’ll cherish them just as much. And that means pictures with the whole family!
But friends, please don’t let these images fool you. On a real note, family pictures are tough. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never had professional pictures in your life or if you’re a professional photographer and know all the secrets to getting a good picture. I promise, our life is just as hectic! My dress came in two sizes too long, which meant wearing very tall heals at 5 months pregnant. With twins, I might add. My husband’s shirt was beyond wrinkly. The kind of wrinkly that’s hard to even iron out. 30 minutes of steaming. A very sore arm. A frustrated mama. I tossed the good enough shirt to my husband to get dressed. Finally heading out the door, and on time? Success! Of course, it was too good to be true. My 2 year old marked on my precious handiwork with a blue crayon before we made it outside. Seriously. Baby wipes to the rescue and a back up shirt tossed in the car just in case it dried with a big ugly spot.
Stephanie was totally amazing to work with, even when my little tornado refused to corporate. And the design set up couldn’t have been more perfect.
