Spontaneity. We did have a plan. But we were also up for anything (well, mostly). And it’s a good thing we were prepared to be a little spontaneous. When I asked Katherine if she was up for an adventure for her San Francisco Portrait Session, I could barely contain my excitement when she said yes. But what I don’t think either of us expected was to end up having such a workout and being so sore the next day.
We started our session at the Legion of Honor Museum. Dressed in a soft mauve dress, Katherine looked stunning. Halfway through the session, a live band serenaded the museum with a performance. So much fun! Location number 2 was Lands End. The temperatures dropped and the wind picked up. It seemed like a balancing act at the Sutro Baths for Katherine in her heels, but she braved the weather the entire time! Then we started the hike to the Labrynith. And we expected a hike. But we didn’t expect a hike quite like this one. Mud. Steep hills. Never ending staircases. And in ballet flats and a sequin dress! We couldn’t help but stop at every beautiful overlook and explore a little extra. 5 miles. Sore muscles. Hungry. Completely exhausted. We got some breath-taking pictures and finally made it back to the car.
A little spontaneity and plans for an adventure made for one really amazing day. Katherine, thank you so much for trusting me on this session. You couldn’t have been more beautiful for your session!
